Haute-cuisine has come to the high country… made in the U.S.A. as well as (and tastily as) the swank resorts of Europe. Granted, American ski and snowboard areas were slow to come to the gourmet table compared with their Alpine colleagues. But today, American winter resorts and ski towns have upped their culinary IQ, enticing foodies with top-notch restaurants at both their summits and in base villages.
